They attacked me (I thought they were simply supposed to be evil from the get-go), murdered my way through their lair, found the ring you need to pick up there and eventually got near the end (where an infamous bug prevented me getting to the final boss fight). I ended up finding the alternate, secret route to the Naga queen by pure accident. I did not understand English all that well at and I skipped one important story-trigger, getting completely stucked.
